Welcome!
The Argos Zodiatis Bible Center is a place where God is working dynamically,
bringing people to Him and transforming lives. For over 70 years, young and old, from different stories, find here companionship, spiritual
support and good times, centred on the Gospel of Christ.
I hope that it will become a place of spiritual renewal and blessing for you too!

Pastor of the Greek Evangelical Church of Katerini
Who we are
The Greek Evangelical Church has its spiritual roots in the Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ Himself and historically in the Evangelical Reformation of the 16th Century.
The first Greek Evangelical Church was founded in 1858 in Athens. Since then, many other Evangelical Churches were established in various towns and villages of our country, which flourished after the arrival of Greek Evangelical refugees from Asia Minor.
The Evangelical Church of Katerini was founded in 1923 after the exchange of populations, by Greek Evangelicals who came from the Evangelical Churches of Pontus in Minor Asia. We got the name “Evangelical” from the word Gospel – the whole Bible – which is the only Rule of our life and faith. We worship God with the propriety and reverence due to Him and with the simplicity of the early Apostolic Church.
The history of the campsite
In 1954 the Greek Evangelical Church of Katerini bought the land where the Bible Centre “Argos Zodiatis” is today located in Leptokarya, Pieria, named in honour of the pioneer of this institution, Argos Zodiatis.
The facilities of the Biblical Centre host: the Guesthouse with a capacity of 100 beds, our kids and teens camp, the prefabricated houses that can accommodate up to 20 people, and the sports facilities, such as a 5×5 football pitch, basketball court, conference room.
In the area of the Biblical Centre operates the Efktirios Oikos (Small Church House) of the Greek Evangelical Church of Leptokarya – Which is a branch of the E.E.E. of Katerini.
The center is a green and hospitable place that touches the sea along one of the best coasts of Pieria, with a view of the first leg of Halkidiki, at the foot of the imposing and magnificent Olympus, quite close to the settlement of Leptokarya.

Flag raising 1957
The camp of the Evangelical Church of Katerini was created in the first post-war decades. In the first year, 1952, the initial camp seasons were held in the mountainous area of Skouterna, on the eastern side of Pieria, and in 1953 on the beach of Litochoro at Plaka. In 1954 they settled permanently on the beach of Leptokarya, on land purchased by the Evangelical Church of Katerini, where they built permanent camping facilities.
