On the initiative and care of the late pastor of the Evangelical Church of Katerini, Rev. Argos Zodiatis we owe the organization of the Biblical Conference of Leptokarya. It was part of the activities of the Katerini Biblical Foundation and followed the model of the world-famous Evangelical Conference in England.

It was held in Katerini in March 1953 for the first time in 1953 on the occasion of the inauguration of the Orphanage. The second Conference took place the following year in the camp of Leptokarya after the end of the camping season, in September 1954 and since then it has been taking place every year in the camp of the Evangelical Church of Katerini in Leptokarya. Every year the best evangelical preachers – theologians from Greece and abroad- are invited to this event. This conference became the model for the creation of other evangelical conferences in Greece, while it contributed to the cultivation of a spirit of unity among believers of all evangelical denominations in Greece.
